Features of the competition and the Company’s standing in the global NFC products and services market

The Company’s customers include 34 companies from 16 countries. In the reporting year, the Company’s deliveries covered nearly one-third of the uranium enrichment needs for Western-design reactors, while in the United States, this share was about 40%, considering the deliveries under the HEU-LEU Contract.

In 2013, the world market of NFC products and services retained a high level of price competition conditioned by the excess of supply over demand.

As usual, the key competitors of JSC Techsnabexport remained URENCO (UK, Germany, and the Netherlands) and AREVA (France). USEC (USA) position weakened substantially. The competitive pressure is also growing on the part of the Chinese enrichment service supplier, CNEIC.

Restraints on the supplies of Russian uranium products still remain, as Euroatom’s policy on the diversification of supplies and limits on deliveries of Russian uranium products to the USA is effective until 2020, as per the amendment to the Agreement Suspending the Antidumping Investigation.

In these conditions, the Company is successfully exporting EUP and uranium conversion and/or enrichment services provided by Russia’s nuclear industry companies to all key regional segments of the world market:

Despite the unfavourable market situation, the Company has retained its position as the leading uranium enrichment services supplier to the world market. This is a result of the consistent work to implement the business strategy and is evidence of the efficiency of the marketing approaches being used (for details, see Section 1.6. Strategy).
